There are some people on this planet that, whether in a relationship or not, dislike Valentine’s Day. I am not one of those people. I adore the romanticism of the day in every way it comes and relish the chance to overtly and proudly be the overly clingy, soppy and generally annoying girlfriend that I try and conceal for the other 364 days of the year.
Last year I bought my boyfriend personalised, handmade cufflinks from a gorgeous independent jewellers I found in Bath. I just love the idea of owning or gifting something that I can picture someone having crafted by hand.. I find it a really romantic concept in itself. Tom loved it too, however vowed that the engraved ‘T&E’ shiny gold cuffs would never see the light of day (or his office) to keep his creibility in tact. He did, however, adore the concept of and has cherished them ever since. This year, I’m contiuning the handmade, personalised approach (but with a gift that might actually be used once or twice, hopefully!).
To this end, I’ve spent a long while perusing Amazon Handmade and their pretty bloody amazing range of handmade gifts from some pretty amazing indpeendent retailers, and thought I’d share with you a few of my favourite items for gifts big and small.
